About Stephanie
Passionate about Hormonal Balance and Informed Births
Stephanie is a Certified Professional Midwife, Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition®, and a Tricare-approved Birth Doula. Her mission to help women restore hormonal balance and experience informed and empowered births. Born at the Naval Hospital in Bethesda to her Filipino mother and Scottish-American father, Stephanie's multicultural heritage shapes her holistic approach to maternal care.
After the loss of her son Oliver at 29 weeks in 2015, Stephanie made a life-altering decision. She left the defense industry and embarked on a journey of healing and empowerment. She pursued a Master's of Science in Holistic Nutrition, specializing in prenatal and postpartum nutrition. Simultaneously, her desire to support families during childbirth led her to become a birth doula. Stephanie has had the privilege of supporting beautiful births in hospital, birth center, and home birth settings. She then continued her education to become a Certified Professional Midwife, through Mercy in Action College of Midwifery.
Stephanie's approach to maternal care is rooted in an integrative and functional perspective. She firmly believes that the body has incredible self-healing capabilities when provided with the right tools. Her expertise spans the entire birth cycle, from fertility and pregnancy to postpartum support.
Beyond her work in the birthing world, Stephanie is a mother of three boys and a goldendoodle. Stephanie holds certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), CPR, breastfeeding support, Spinning Babies, and newborn care.
Stephanie calls Southern Maryland home and primarily serves clients in the Alexandria and Southern Maryland areas. For midwifery services, she is licensed in Virginia and serves King George, Virginia.
